I have a miniature dachshund that has breath that could knock out a MOOSE!? - venison and potato dog food

He travels regularly to the vet, has big teeth and eat now "Eukanuba wilderness in New Zealand venison and potato dog food. My other dog is a Catahoula and eats the same and has great breath, I know that Dachshunds tend to have anal gland problems, but its always empty it a bath. Any suggestions on this? It's terrible!
